Amplifier Lens: Patent No. 6,138,286
SCOTT USA's original Amplifier Lens has set a revolutionary new
benchmark in optical engineering. The Amplifier Lens moves beyond
being just another “tint” by actually increasing clarity, contrast,
and definition through a sophisticated light transmission process
that matches the optimum absorption wavelengths of the human eye’s
three photoreceptor cones. The result is an exclusive patented
optical lens that excels in all light conditions, but performs truly
legendary on overcast, “flat” light days.
Chrome Amplifier Lens: Patent No. 6,128,286
The Chrome Amplifier Lens is new for this year and utilizes the
same patented light transmission process as our exclusive Amplifier
Lens, but has been optically engineered with an exterior chrome
coating in answer to our athletes’ requests for a summer park and
pipe Amp Lens. The Chrome Amplifier Lens still offers incredible
depth perception and three dimensional contrast, but helps reflect
glare for those bright spring and summer days.
Light Amplifier Lens: Patent No. 6,138,286
New for this year, the Light Amplifier Lens was created in
response to demands from pacific northwest skiers and snowboarders
who are constantly skiing and snowboarding in very dark,
moisture-laden storm conditions. The Light Amplifier Lens has been
optically engineered with the same patented light transmission
process as the Amplifier Lens, but allows a greater visible light
transmission percentage to lighten your field of vision. The end
result is astounding; truly three-dimensional contrast for those
ultra-low light storm days.
Night Amplifier Lens: Patent Pending
New for this year, the Night Amplifier Lens capitalizes on the
patented light transmission process as the other Amplifier Lenses,
but matches the optimum absorption wavelengths of the human eye’s
photoreceptor rods, which are used at night instead of the cones.
The Night Amplifier Lens truly sets a new optical standard for night
skiing and snowboarding.
20° Fall Line Rake
A revolutionary 20° Fall Line Rake is utilized in the new Source
Six goggle to set a new "vertical field of vision" benchmark for
snow goggles. Applying advanced optical engineering principles, the
Source Six has been designed with a lower lens retention groove that
places the lower portion of the goggle lens mere millimeters from
the cheekbone. The lens then flares back with a proprietary 20° Fall
Line Rake to offer a completely unprecedented, drastically increased
vertical field of vision.
Six Base Thermoformed Dual Lens
Every six base lens has been computer engineered and spherically
thermoformed to offer the ultimate in state-of-the art, six base
optical accuracy. Six base spherical lens geometry allows the
profile of the lens to match the natural curvature of the human eye
on both a horizontal and vertical axis significantly improving
optical clarity, accuracy, and peripheral vision. In addition, every
six base lens is engineered as a dual lens component that serves as
an integrated dual-layer barrier to reduce condensation and combat
fogging.
Cylindrical Thermoformed Dual Lens
Thermoformed dual lenses have been computer engineered and
cylindrically thermoformed to match the natural curvature of the
human eye on a horizontal axis, thus maximizing optical clarity,
accuracy, and depth perception. Thermoformed dual lenses also serve
as an integrated barrier to reduced condensation and combat fogging.

Cylindrical dual lenses have been optically engineered to
achieve a cylindrical shape within the goggle frame enhancing
optical clarity, accuracy, and depth perception. Cylindrical dual
lenses also serve as an integrated barrier to reduced condensation
and combat fogging.
Cylindrical Single Lens
Cylindrical single lenses have been optically engineered to
achieve a cylindrical shape within the goggle frame enhancing
optical clarity, accuracy, and depth perception. In addition, the
use of a single lens results in a truly distortion-free,
ultra-lightweight lens that excels in professional racing goggles
where fogging is not a problem.
100% UVA Radiation Protection
Solar radiation is formed by visible and invisible waves
measured in nanometers. The shorter the wavelength frequency, the
more damaging the wave is to the eye. UVA wave rays [ultra-violet
radiation in the 320-380 nm range] are absorbed by the lens of your
eye and can cause damage. Every SCOTT USA lens has been optically
engineered to screen out 100% of harmful UVA rays in this range.
RAM: Patent No. 6,138,285
RAM [Revolutionary Air Management] ventilation is a patented
frame ventilation system was developed utilizing aeronautical
engineering principles to create an air control system that
strategically directs airflow within the goggle utilizing a clean
and controlled, top-to-bottom pattern. Air enters in the Frame Air
Intake vents on top of the frame, eliminating "swirling air" and
fogging, while Frame Air Outtake vents on the bottom of the frame
pull the air out.
Air Control System
ACS [Air Control System] ventilation incorporates computer
engineered Lens Air Intake vents on the lens of the goggle, and
Frame Air outtake vents on the bottom of the goggle. The result is a
sophisticated ventilation system that controls airflow and helps
prevent condensation and fogging.

Perimeter Ventilation
Perimeter ventilation consists of peripheral ventilation
chambers that have been computer engineered into the top and bottom
perimeter of the goggle frame. These chambers control airflow within
the goggle frame to help prevent condensation and fogging.
No Fog™ Anti-Fog Lens Treatment
A permanent, proprietary, hydrophilic lens treatment that is
meticulously applied to every inner goggle lens to help prevent
condensation and fogging.
Engineered Spacer Foam Membrane
The ultimate integration of an optimally thick foam membrane and
an exceptionally strong adhesive that bonds the spacer foam to the
two soft thermal lenses. This engineered membrane is designed to
remain sealed under stress and protect dual lenses from separating
or leaking moisture.
ContourFlex Frame Compound
An extremely innovative frame compound that blends fluid
ergonomic flex points with state-of-the-art structural engineering.
ContourFlex Frames are designed utilizing a uniquely formulated
urethane that not only contours to exacting human facial features,
but remains pliable in extreme cold.
Hypoallergenic Super Soft Face Foam
Hypoallergenic, thermo-formed contoured face foam that has been
computer engineered to form a precision fit around facial features
while sealing out the elements.
