FMF Racing: Over 30 Years of Power!

FMF Racing has grown to become the most recognized name in motor sports aftermarket products in the world. Lots of growth, lots of progress. Motorsports side of the business was overtaking the FMF empire. Don Emler concentrate on making more and better products for dirt bikes and motocrossers.

FMF TIMELINE HISTORY:

1967 - Don Emler begins racing on the local level at Indian Dunes, Saddleback and
          Bay Mare
1968 - Emler is sponsored by US Suzuki as a factory racer
1969 - Don switches over to American Eagle factory sponsorship
1973 - FMF is founded; Ray Lopez wins Arroyo 125 World Champonship while Monark
          factory rider Marty Smith sings on as a full FMF guy
1974 - Marty Smith switches to FMF/American Honda and wins the first AMA 125cc
          National Championship title
1975 - Marty Smith repeats as 125 National champion on a factory Honda; Warren Reid
          signs to ride FMF Honda
1976 - FMF backs Suzuki 125 factory support team of Jeff Ward, Gary Ogden, Ron
          Turner and John Savitzki
1977 - FMF does a full season with the Suzuki 125 factory support team on the AMA
          National level
1979 - Emler begins making reed valves for other aftermarket companies
1985 - FMF's first plated pipes are used by Team Honda's Guy Cooper, Suzuki offroader
          Randy Hawkins and Team Green rider Jeremy McGrath
1988 - Don patents a reed insert which is still used today by all current 2-strokes
1989 - Suzuki's Hawskins wins AMA National Enduro title while Team Green's Danny
          LaPorte, Larry Roeseler and Paul Krause dominate baja
1990 - FMF rider Guy Cooper wins AMA 125cc National Championship
1991 - John Dowd wins Hangtown 250 National as a privateer on FMF backed CR250;
          LaPorte and Roeseler win Baja
1992 - FMF launches plated Gold series
1993 - FMF purchases a semi for FMF support personnel to attend all major amateur
          events
1995 - FMF's debut into the 4-stroke world with the release of the Gold Series muffler
