Oakley Men's Thump Pro Casual Wearable Electronics Eyewear Specifications
|
We took the premium sound, patented optics and all-day comfort of
THUMP 2 and engineered them in a completely new architecture. This
sport design is even more lightweight, and it adds the durability of
sweat resistance and the convenience of interchangeable lenses.
THUMP PRO launches a new era in sport training.
Coaches and trainers know that athletes have one-track minds — at
any given moment, the human brain is focused on a single thing.
Divert attention from the burn of exertion and your training will
find a whole new level. That’s why we invented THUMP PRO, digital
music eyewear in a sport design that fuels your training session
with the music that moves you. Whether you’re running, biking or
pushing your potential with any kind of workout, THUMP PRO will help
you find your limits and just as easily ignore them.
Athletes have endured the “ball and chain” of portable players for a
quarter of a century. Cords dangle. Wires tangle. The base unit
knocks around. The speakers jam into the ears and completely block
out the environment with an all-or-nothing design. Oakley solved all
these problems.
Here’s why THUMP PRO is an essential training tool:
. It offers the absolute freedom of a cordless design — nothing to
dangle and tangle. A digital audio engine is fully integrated into
the frame, so there’s no tethered player or wires to get in the
way of your workout
. The speakers are fully adjustable, so you can position them for a
perfect fit and control the balance of music and environment
. The frame is sweat resistant and it features UNOBTAINIUM®
components that actually increase grip with perspiration. You no
longer have to worry about your music player moving when you do
. Oakley’s HIGH DEFINITION OPTICS® (HDO®) offers unbeatable clarity,
backed by patented innovations that serve the world’s best
athletes
. The lenses are fully interchangeable, so you can optimize vision
for any sport environment. Impact resistant PLUTONITE® lens
material filters out 100% of all UV, and the rimless design means
there’s nothing to block your downward view. That’s a critical
advantage in activities like running and cycling.
THUMP PRO combines three decades of Oakley optical innovation with
the convenience and performance of cutting-edge audio. This isn’t
just a state-of-the-art song player or a world-class optical
instrument. This is a training tool that brings out the athlete in
you. Its crystal clear sound bathes the brain in music that lets you
endure the burn and take your training to the next level.
. Absolute freedom of movement with no wires or cords to tangle,
dangle, or get in the way of your workout
. Sweat-resistant design, optimized for sport use
. User-changeable lenses that allow you to adapt quickly to any
sport environment
. Oakley’s renowned HIGH DEFINITION OPTICS® (HDO®) for unbeatable
clarity and the sharpest, truest vision
. The ability to store up to 240 songs on the 1 GB version, 120
songs on the 512 MB version, or 60 songs on the 256 MB version
. 75MHz DSP with 18-bit Sigma Delta DAC for premium audio fidelity
. Up to 6 hours of playback time on a single charge, enough to power
you through your most grueling training session
. Custom Mylar® speakers with six directions of movement for a fully
adjustable fit that lets you control the balance of music and
environment
. Easy-to-use interface that gives you instant access and full
control of your music
. Lens contours that maximize protection against sun, wind and side
impact
. Patented XYZ OPTICS® to give you razor-sharp vision at all angles
of view
. Pure PLUTONITE® lens material to filter out 100% of all UVA, UVB,
UVC and harmful blue light up to 400nm
. Materials and geometries that meet or exceed all ANSI Z87.1
standards for optical clarity and impact resistance
. Durable and lightweight O MATTER® frame material for an overall
weight that’s about half as much as ordinary players — less than
the weight of an empty CD jewel case
. Supported storage of data files along with song files
. Compatibility with iTunes®*, Windows Media Player®, WinAMP® and
other popular music jukebox programs that use AAC, MP3, WMA or
even Audible® file format
. Three-color indicator light to show battery level
. Included Hi-Speed USB 2.0 cable for transferring song files from
Mac® or Windows® PC
. Adapt to any sport environment with user-changeable ACCESSORY
LENSES
Note:
. * - Songs transferred to iTunes from CDs are in the .m4a file
format, which is compatible with THUMP PRO. Songs purchased from
the iTunes Music Store are in the .m4p format and are not
compatible with THUMP PRO because Apple® reserves that format for
iPod® use only

About
Oakley Gear |
As a company,
Oakley sunglasses have been on a journey for 30 years,
focused on creating the world's finest and most stylish
sunglasses. Oakley still feels a deep sense of pride and
satisfaction when an athlete is seen wearing a pair of
Oakley sunglasses.
Having successfully created a new motocross handgrip which
became famous for its unique orbicular design, Jim Jannard
decided to focus his attention elsewhere. With growing
confidence and a solid reputation behind him, Jannard
created his first set of motocross goggles. In response to
their success, Jannard then decided to create a pair of
sunglasses especially for wearing during sports. This was a
much larger market to crack, but he was confident that his
unique approach would see him through and expand Oakley's
business.
Jannard decided that the
core of the new range of sports sunglasses should be
strength, function and style. Keeping this in mind, he named
the range Eyeshades. The unique thing about the Eyeshades
was that they were effectively a one-lens sunglass promoted
as a goggle. The Eyeshades came with all the usual features,
but came packed in an attractive box ready to sell. It was
initially met with a slow response, but sales started to
improve. Gradually sales started to snowball and quickly the
Eyeshades became a phenomenal success.
The Eyeshades were first
released in the 1980?s, a decade known for it's radical and
at times outrageous styles. However, the new Oakley
Eyeshades were the perfect addition to the fashionable
wardrobe. Athletes and consumers alike stood up and took
notice of the Eyeshades and embraced them as a fashionable
necessity. It was the completely original style of the
glasses that made them so popular, just as Jannard had
hoped.
The Oakley Eyeshades were a
spectacular success, but it took some time for Jannard to
comprehend their success, and to realize their future
potential. At the time Eyeshades were only available in one
color. However, when Tour de France Champion Greg Lemond
called Oakley to enquire if the Eyeshades were available in
different colours, Jannard realized he had just stumbled
into a massive opportunity.
The runaway success of
Oakley sunglasses and their high brand status has inevitably
been met with fake Oakleys entering the market. Duplicate
Oakley sunglasses are available around the world and are
often called Foakleys, standing for fake Oakleys. When
buying Oakley sunglasses, ensure that you are dealing with a
reputable company who only offer original Oakley sunglasses.
Imitations are known to be flimsy and can even be dangerous.
Oakley sunglasses are still
growing in popularity today, and are sure to be favorites
for many years to come.
